About The Event
Want to enhance your map-making skillset and use of spatial data?
New and advanced QGIS users will gain experience with making publication-quality maps and figures through this workshop.
Learn the foundations of this open source software for creating map-based visualizations. The instructors from the Center for Geospatial Analytics will review how to access, import, and render vector-based geographic data. You will learn best practices for cartography and how to utilize base layers, layer styling, inset maps, labels, legends, and more that meet the standard for high quality research publications.
No prior experience needed. Introduction and installation to the software and practice data will be reviewed during the demonstration.
